Ambie Hay, a self taught artist, was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She happily painted and doodled her way through childhood. After moving to Nantucket Island in 1989, Ambie opened a store called “Rosa Rugosa”. She filled it to the brim with her whimsical artwork and hand painted wares. Her work has been featured in a variety of national magazines and is sought out by many private collectors.
In 2000, Ambie was then drawn to Vero Beach, Florida,another magical coastal area. Residing by the sea is a true inspiration for her delightful paintings. In today's stressful world, her artwork raises our spirits and brings us joy. Her greatest satisfaction is making people smile and reminding them to live more in the heart and less in the mind. By sharing her work with others, it illustrates that we do live in an abundant colorful world.
